2009 CSREES Grantsmanship Workshop and Writing Winning Grant Workshop

During the CSREES Grantsmanship Workshop an excellent group of program directors from CSREES will be providing an overview of funding programs within the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) and other competitive programs and the 2010 AFRI Request for Applications. In addition, there will be breakout discussion on specific program areas as well as a mock review panel to provide insights on successful grants and the review process. The Writing Winning Grants Workshop will feature topics that include: Where to look for funds, Principles of grant writing, Organizing integrated proposals, Developing the grant budget, Ethics in grant writing, and Common short-comings in the grant application. East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress

The Congress will be a venue for reviewing and sharing on-the-ground experiences in integrated management of coastal and marine resources. Carrying the theme, “Partnerships at Work: Local Implementation and Good Practices,” it will highlight initiatives and good practices covering key aspects of coastal and marine resource management and how interregional, interagency and multisectoral partnerships are contributing toward the attainment of regional and international environmental targets.
