Entomology at the Lake Erie Grape Research Center The Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center currently focuses its research program toward viticultural entomology. The entomology program focuses its research on biocontrol of primary vineyard insect pests and conducts efficacy trials with new insecticides as well. Work is also being done to investigate the biology of the grape berry moth and how this knowledge can be applied to management programs. The research center is also used by graduate students in the Department of Entomology for field trials relating to their thesis work.
