Rachel is the Executive Assistant for the College of Agricultural Sciences Research and Graduate Education Office. She has been with the University full-time since March 1989 (with the college since September 1990). Currently, she handles special projects regarding proposals and grants, graduate education, benchmarking with peer institutions, etc to determine trends, success, and/or activity at the university, college, and/or departmental levels. In addition, Rachel manages the planning and reporting of the Animal Health, Hatch, Multi-State, and State appropriated funds and Special Grant Agricultural Experiment Station projects. She also coordinates the collection of information, assists in writing, and compiles the Federal Plan-of-Work and subsequent Annual Reports of Accomplishments and Results for the College's Research and Extension Programs. She oversees the budgetary and human resources processes for three Research and Extension Centers across Pennsylvania (North East, Biglerville, and Landisville), the USDA Pasture Systems and Watershed Management, and special USDA funds administered by the office. Rachel also reviews the college's Invention Disclosures and assists with the Federal Excess Property Program for the college.

When not at work, you can find Rachel spending time with her husband Jim and two young children, Seth and Hannah.
